ABOUT

We’re passionate about dirt, plants, and the magic they create together. Here, nestled in the rugged and beautiful Upper Peninsula of Michigan, we cherish every story our gardens tell. We practice organic principles and focus on native plantings and edible landscapes. We strive to build lasting relationships with the landscapes we tend, as well as the people and animals that reside within them.

My name is Meghan, i’m the owner- operator- and who you’ll reach when you contact Wildwood. My background is in private estate gardening in the Minneapolis area. I moved to the upper peninsula to start a market farm in 2020. I have been digging in dirt my whole life.

I have a professional horticulture certificate from the university of Minnesota and the Minnesota landscape arboretum.

I am a licensed pesticide applicator. Organic principles are only as helpful as your understanding of the chemicals and the “pests” themselves. There can be real damage done to pollinators as well as beneficial insects without a real understanding of integrated pest management.

Wildwood Gardening is a licensed plant nursery. We are slowly getting set up to grow more of the plants that we are putting into the landscapes we tend. This means both, hyper-local plants are being used as well as having the capability of custom growing for our clients.

I’ve raised heritage poultry for the past almost two decades. I have a small market farm and live near big bay with my partner, my son, some dogs, some cats and too many house plants.

Find us on select dates at the Marquette farmers market this summer!

There are two cars parked by the garage, a pumpkin on a small ledge, and a small potted plant near the door. Tree branches with fall leaves are visible in the background.
